Position Descriptions

Music Lead

The Music Lead is responsible for organizing, reviewing, and uploading all music received by CFXU into RadioDJ. They manage both physical and digital archives, maintain playlists, and ensure new Canadian artists are featured regularly. This role involves listening to and processing new albums, keeping the broadcasting booth up to date, and researching new music and labels. Music Leads should be organized, adaptable and passionate about music.

Programming Lead

The Programming Lead manages CFXU’s on-air lineup and ensures all programming complies with CRTC regulations. They work closely with DJs and hosts to coordinate show schedules, maintain communication, monitor logs, and ensure hosts are properly trained and supported. Programming Lead reviews programming quality, resolves scheduling or content issues, and helps shape a diverse and engaging lineup. Programming Lead should have strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Production Lead

The Production Lead oversees all CFXU audio equipment, recording, and production needs. They manage equipment maintenance, set up and edit live recordings, and produce station IDs, ads, and promos. This role also involves assisting hosts with production tasks, maintaining the archive computer, and coordinating equipment rentals and purchases. Production Leads should be detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working with audio technology and recording software.

Social Media Lead

The Social Media Lead manages CFXU’s online presence and community engagement. They run all social media accounts, maintain the website, promote upcoming events, and collaborate with the Students’ Union Marketing Team. This role involves creating digital and physical promotional content, coordinating event coverage, and ensuring account security. Social Media Leads should be creative, organized, and skilled in content creation.

The Golden X Inn | Security

The Golden X Inn is looking to hire Security for the 2026/27 school year.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Security for the Golden X Inn can expect to work anywhere from one to three shifts per week.

  • Security at the Golden X Inn will be expected to handle the care and safety of all guests, inside and outside of the bar. 

  • Security for the Golden X Inn will be responsible for accurately checking IDs of all students and guests (training will be provided).

  • Security must be able to multi-task and work together as part of a team.

  • Security members must be able to hold themselves up to a high standard when they are called upon, and when they are needed to step in to a sometimes uncomfortable situation

  • Growth within the organization is encouraged, and cross training to different positions will be available to those who prove themselves in their role.

  • First Aid training is encouraged.

  • Security experience is a plus.
