We are a student society at St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia representing WUSC (World University Service of Canada)-a CDN non-profit organization.
WUSC is a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, economic, and empowerment opportunities for youth around the world. WUSC originated the Student Refugee Program, a one-of-a-kind initiative to combine resettlement with opportunities for higher education. The program has empowered over 2000 young refugees from 37 countries of origin and grown to support over 150 students per year through active partnerships with over 100 Canadian universities, colleges, and CEGEP campuses to continue their education in safe and supportive environments. At StFX, we have eight wonderful students who are a part of this program and we are aiming to expand this number in the coming years.
