Motionball for Special Olympics is a not-for-profit organization that raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation (SOCF), which helps fund local programming for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Motionball is a platform for creating inclusive communities through integrated sporting and social events, involving local Special Olympics athletes, supporters, and partners. Motionball engages young professionals across Canada by hosting 32 annual events in 20 cities, including our Marathon of Sport Events, our motionballU Program, our Galas, and our #NoGoodWay to use the R-Word digital campaign. Through Motionball and the Special Olympics movement, more individuals with an intellectual disability have better access and opportunities to develop self-confidence, social skills, and friendships using sports and physical activity as their platform.
